What an awesome season!
Premiers 2018
In our inaugural season in 2016 we only narrowly missed out on participation in the finals by finishing 5th.
In 2017 we narrowly missed out on participating in the grand final and finished a very respectable 3rd.
In 2018 our boys declared they had unfinished business.
Despite defeating every team at some stage during the minor rounds the team finished 3rd. So there were was no second chance for us, we had to win every game if we wanted glory.
In the semi finals we blitzed Cairns Saints by a huge 98 points.
The semi final saw us up against South Cairns who had shattered our dreams in 2017. However this year is was a different result with us winning by 25 points.
Going into the grand final we were definitely the under dogs as we faced the Port Douglas Crocs. It was a great grand final, full of great football, and even some controversy when Port Douglas called an unsuccessful head count at a critical time in the 3rd quarter. Power goaled against the wind as a result and then powered onto a 17 point victory.
Congratulations!
